The Space Saver Tips

Furniture is one important piece in every home. But what if you have a small house would that be a problem when it comes to placing furniture? It really would not be a problem. You just need to find the right pieces to fit your style and the space.

Transparent Pieces is the Best

This is especially true when it comes to small and tight spaces. For instance you have a small dining area. It would look really nice and it will give an illusion of a bigger space if you use translucent furniture like chairs. When you use plastic or glass type of furniture it actually doesn’t make the small space looking crowded or overly stuffed and cluttered.

Open Shelves is the Way to Go

Instead of using cabinets and drawers with doors which in fact can make the room look pretty small and cramped. You can opt in using open shelves to store all necessary stuffs. Open shelves can be used in the bathroom to store toiletries, towels or even as your medicine cabinet. You can have one in the living room to place any knick knacks that you may have like frames, CDs or DVDs and even books.

Another option is to make use of the walls and doors. You can put assorted hooks that can be used to hang all sorts of things. This saves space and at the same time can be used as a decorative piece on the wall.

Let Go of Big Pieces

If you have a small living area space you can opt out in placing a big coffee table because that will surely make the place look cramped. Not every living room needs a big table in the middle. Try to personalize it more adding a couple of small chairs, a carpet for added seating option. You can still put a small table in corner or beside the chairs depending on your style preference.

Having a small space shouldn’t stop you from making your house look good. By finding the right piece of furniture and fixture you can definitely turn a dull room into something that look like those you see in the covers of magazines.
